Employment Discrimination
It is illegal for an employer to discriminate based on
a persons skin color, gender, national origin, age and creed.
Discrimination can take many forms including decisions to hire, fire,
promote, demote, and determinations of compensation, job training, and job
placement in the workplace.
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, including its amendments, governs
employment discrimination claims for employers with 15 or more employees.
Pregnancy Discrimination
The law also protects pregnant women in the at their place of
employment. Employers with 15 or more employees are not allowed to
